WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is a training program designed to prepare you for anything that comes your way. It was developed as a fitness regimen that can be applied universally to all sports and physical activities. By using elements from a broad range of exercises- including cardio and weight training, and other sport/activity specific movements- CrossFit takes you through relatively high-intensity workouts consisting of constantly varied functional movements. So your body continuously adapts through each workout, increasing its effectiveness along the way.

Just as important as the physical movements is the community that CrossFit creates by performing these workouts in a group setting. Whether it provides motivation through friendly competition or pumps up the energy through the communal atmosphere, the shared experience of CrossFit workouts is considered an important reason for the program’s success.

DO I NEED TO BE FIT TO JOIN A CROSSFIT CLASS?

CrossFit classes are open to people at all fitness levels- from the beginner to the seasoned athlete.

WHAT IS CROSSFIT LIKE?

Each class lasts one hour, which includes a warmup, instruction, and a workout of the day (WOD). Of course, as with any class at Final Round, you should wear workout clothes and gym shoes. CrossFit is all about measurable results, so we’ll be helping you track your progress toward your personal fitness goals, every step of the way.

WHAT BENEFITS CAN I EXPECT?

One of the greatest things about CrossFit is that, even when the workout is over, your body continues to burn fat all day long. Not only that, you’ll find that it helps stabilize your mood and fights anxiety. You’ll also sleep a whole lot better and wake up feeling more rested. And, let’s face it, when you feel better about yourself, your relationships with friends and family are better. It’s sure to help you in your work life, too.

SOUNDS GREAT. HOW DO I GET STARTED?

We offer a free CROSSFIT class every Saturday at 8:00 AM & 9:00 AM. This class will not be technical but will give you an idea of what you can expect in a CrossFit program. It’s a great way to see if Final Round CrossFit is a journey you would like to pursue. If you want to move forward we will sign you up and register you for our ONRAMP program. You will learn the terminology and movements you are required to know to join in our regular CrossFit classes! You will get a great work out while becoming confident and familiar with everything CrossFit. You will be in a class with other new people so everyone will be learning together! You may see a member or two who has decided to brush up on their skills. We all strive to be the best we can be. This is a two week program. During this time you can also check out the other classes a Final Round CrossFit membership gives you–boxing (bags & mitts), TRX, Yoga, Boot Camp, and XPRESS classes. After you have completed the ONRAMP program then let the WOD’s begin! You will never look back as you watch your body transform and your strength, speed & agility move forward in a way you may not have thought possible, regardless of where you are at today.
