WHAT IS SPARRING?

Interested in competing in Boxing or MMA? Want to see how your skills would stack up in a real-time situation? Then, our Sparring sessions are perfect for you. Our Sparring classes offer a safe, controlled environment to test and apply techniques in a live situation against an active opponent.

WHAT’S THE DRILL?

You’ll be paired up with a challenger of similar skill and experience in live rounds cornered and supervised by our expert coaches and instructors. You’ll focus on everything from basic non-contact skills like footwork and range to advanced sparring and actual full-contact punches in the ring while getting feedback on your technique and strategy from our coaching staff. Get your timing right with counterpunch drills and you’ll quickly move up to delivering punches at your sparring partner.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

Sparring session participants are required to have a mouth guard, gloves, wraps, headgear, foul protector, and sparring shoes.

WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE?

There’s a good reason why boxing has become so popular. It’s one of the best workouts around and it offers challenges to all of your senses you won’t really find with other forms of exercise. Not only will you develop footwork, timing, and other critical boxing skills, you’ll develop speed, coordination, agility, and endurance that will serve you well every day!

NEVER SPARRED BEFORE?

While all sparring is done with coaches consent and supervision we also offer an INTRO TO SPARRING class for members who would like to experience getting in the ring. You will be taught the fundamentals that will prepare you to spar an opponent.  Everyone will start by sparring an experienced trainer so that you can learn and feel the THRILL of the ring! Put that hard work you’ve done in the bags classes to the test! If your goal is to become a competitor this class is an excellent placet to begin.
